New person, who could I sing?

Hi first of all I'm a guy and I want to try out for Into the Woods. I'm in 8th grade and I want to play Jack or Cinderella's prince. What r good audition songs/

What is your vocal range? You have to find a song that good for you. Oh, and if you're asking what I think you are asking, we have a thread for this.

Here's my picks...

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the show, but if you try out for Cindy's Prince, usually that means playing the Wolf too. If that's the case with your school, don't fret; the Wolf is a great part, as well! Anyway, here's my picks:

Jack- Grow For Me (LSoH)
Wolf/Cindy's Prince- I'm A Bad, Bad Man (Annie Get Your Gun)

Best of luck!

Sure! On the OBC of "Annie", they have bonus tracks from the original backers audition, where Strouse and Charnin would play every song from the show for the possible financers of the show. The original start of the show was Annie's parents dropping her off at the orphanage in the 1920's. After that, the scene would change to the 1930's and the first actual song was called "Apples", and was to be sung by four apple sellers singing to the passers by. My actual member name comes from the ending line of the first three verses. Ultimately, it was decided to open the show differently, but nonetheless, "Apples" is a great song. If anyone is interested, I could PM the lyrics. Just let me know.
