New arrangementsHey, what do you guys think of the new arrangements of the songs for the RENT movie. I think they are quite good, but I don't really like the intro to ANOTHER DAY and I think that the vocals should've been louder in OUT TONIGHT. What do you guys think?

I actually personally really enjoyed the new arrangements, thought they were really well done and everything sounded more powerful and clearer

Yeah, I think so to, the songs, I think almost seemded to have a lot more depth in them and as you said they are more powerful. For, example Today 4 U has a lot more bass and it seems a lot more up to date. It's just those first few guitar chords in Another Day

If I remember correctly, those first few notes for Another Day are slightly different in the actual movie. It jumps from Out Tonight, has this in-between chord then jumps right into Roger's first verse of Another Day.

Oh real, I haven't seen the movie yet, I have to wait untill April, but I have heard the movie soundtrack. I thought some of the score might be different from the movie soundtrack. I can't wait 'till it comes out!

I loved the new arrangements, but didn't like what they cut in certain songs. For example, turning some songs into dialogue. Also, in the title song, they cut out the phone conversation between Joanne and Maureen, leaving an empty space of music where Anthony and Adam just stared at each other. It was weird.
Loved everything else, though!
