New ALW ShowIt's been announced that ALW will write a new musical based on a Russian novel "The Master and Margarita"http://news.yahoo.com/s/playbill/20060825/en_playbill/101650 Interesting idea, I just don't know if ALW has any more music inside him. He said he is looking for a collaborator which I'm sure means lyrics. Interesting if he could get Sondheim but I doubt it and I think Sondheim's talent is probably spent as well. |

It sounds like an interesting idea...it could work...

Why would you ever thing that Sondheim would collaborate with Webber. The two produce vastly different pieces of theatre. I think Sondheim would sooner agree to write the sequel to Wicked or Children of Eden, than work with Webber.

ALW and SJS sort of collaborated on Duelling Pianos, so I doubt they hate eachother. |

How? As far as I can understand, they write shows for very different reasons and purposes. I don't really comprehend how they should be able to share the vision of a musical. |
