Nettie's SpaWhat role does Nettie's Spa play in CAROUSEL? And I'm assuming that it's more of a beauty parlor rather than the way we think of 'spa' today.

Spa? Spa?  WhereTF did you get this? Are u in the right musical? There is a SPA in NINE but not in CAROUSEL. Nettie ran a restaurant -- so what r u talking about??

Like I said in my original post, I was assuming that "Spa" was not being used in the modern sense. As to where I got it from, I saw a picture from the original 1943 production of Carrie singing the Act I Reprise of "Mr. Snow" in front of a building with a sign that says "Nettie's Spa".

They do refer to it as "Nettie's Spa" in the script...
