Need up-beat belty song for pep rally!my school is doing a pep rally and they are kinda desperate for people, so i was like eh why not.
I need an up-beat belty song, can't go above a C5. I can't belt too high. It's okay if its way over-done, because the only thing people know at my school is Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus *shoots self*.

so you're looking for something along the lines of out tonight or defying gravity?

I definitly can't belt like Idina, and I'd probably do no justice to Defying Gravity, ha.
I do songs like On My Own, Good Morning Baltimore, and Nothing very well.
I would do 'Nothing', but it's kind of "I hate school, i hate my teachers, blahh" which wouldn't be very good for a pep rally

How about the Gershwin classic "Stiff Upper Lip" from Crazy for You?
or "Believe in Yourself" form the Wiz.

Haha why on earth would she sing Stiff Upper Lip?
That's tough... does it have to be a song from a musical. That seems a little peculiar to me (singing a showtune for a pep rally...)

music is my life!!!

how about my new philosophu from YAGMCB? it's very funny and lively and is in the mezzo/belter musical theatre anthology books

trying to think of a song with good lyrics for a pep rally.
From Stiff Upper Lip:
"Carry on through thick and thin
If you feel you're in the right
Let the fighting spirit win
Fight Fight fight fight Fight."
Using this as a basis, and changing the syrics from other parts of the song could make a great rally song.
