Need opinion on this wig

Okay, I know I look like a goof (I was holding the camera myself.) I need an opinion of how good/bad/ridiculous this wig looks? I slapped on a bit of makeup so I wouldn't look too wierd (failing miserably), but it isn't what I'll ultimately be wearing. I do have another wig I'm trying to style, but it isn't going well.

It's rather hard to tell from close up... but you CAN tell that it's a wig.
pinkstiletto510

I like it!
I think from farther away, it might not look like a wig.... actually, i probably wouldnt have guessed that it's a wig from this picture if you hadnt said so

any particular reason?
ado amber

thats hot.
lostquiche

I like it. It doesn't clash with your skin color or anything.

From that angle and with that make-up, it reminds me of Eyesight to the Blind from the film of Tommy. Confused

I'm supposed to be the 1920's version of Paris Hilton, so a little artificiality is ok.

Sorry the angles so wierd, I have short arms!
Salome

its looks ab it fake but if you make sure none oif your real hair shows and your theatre's costumer sets it right for you it should work okay.

Worse yet, I'm wearing peach! I look deathly ill in peach!
Salome

cant they give you something in rose or powder blue?
opheliarose

Unfortunately, she's already built a dress AND a blouse for me. I'll just have to do what I can with makeup.

I starting to think she wants me to look sick.

Clarification

Ah, I was just going to ask what role it was for... well, it's pretty good. I think possibly a really high-fashion 1920's socialite might have sleeker hair somehow - waves close to the head, slicked down with vaseline, rather than curls - but that's just my thoughts.

I thought so too but once I got into the research, the slicked down look didn't really catch on until the 30s. (There was also the Louise Brooks bob which I am deliberately avoiding.)

Clara Bow

Caption said Louise Brooks but that's totally wrong.

The Real Louise Brooks- avoiding this one like the plague!
Lillian Gish

Random ad from the era-I'm totally stealing the makeup colors directly from it.

My plan B is to marcel wave my own hair and attempt to disguise the length with pin curls, but I'd rather not have to deal.
Salome

but louise brooks looks so sexy..why are you avoiding it?
opheliarose

Because there are 4 other women in the cast, 3 of which are doing that hairdo, including my maid (the other is an old lady wearing a turban.) And we're all about the same height and coloring (though I'm the only blonde)

Also it's much harder to hide the bulk of my hair under a wig that sleek, and that severe a look is really tough for me to pull off.

But yes, on her it's dead sexy.

Edit: As Jazzy said:)

ps- check the other 20's post for a pic of my hot Grandma!

Probably because it's not an easy look just anyone can pull off...which I understand...
