What Is This Feeling?

My review of the December 12th, 2007 Matinee Performance...

I went on a class trip to see the show for a second time. Overall, I have mixed reviews.

The Leads:

Howard McGillin -What can I say about him? The first time I saw the show, I saw him! I also met him backstage. My old costar in an opera, who lived in NY took me to meet him. He was so nice! He was such a polite man too! I really sypathized with his Phantom! Overall, I give his performance a 9 out of 10.

Jennifer Hope Wills- Hmmmmm, she was interesting. An not really in a good way. Her performace seemed kind of a little too sweet for my tastes. She bugged me at times, her timing seemed kind off off too. Acting wise. She was ok. 6 out of 10 though.

Tim Martin Gleason- Not more can be said about this man. He was a perfect Raoul. I believed him, he looked like Raoul. He was perfect. Vocally wonderful too.

Sets- They didn't sem as elaborate as the 1st time. But I guess that is to bee expected though. Th Chandelier drop was way too slow.

Atmosphere- I always will ove the Majestic Theatre. I think it is beautiful. I was in the Rear Mezzanine for this show however. Although, it as great, the stage seemed too far away. I still love the show immensely though. There were alot of kids though, and the whol thing just seemed kind of casual though. Which upset me, but oh well.

Overall- 7 out of 10

Generally it's never quite as spectacularily elaborate seeming your second time. Next time you go try and get Row A Mezz. They're pretty good seats. Row AA-BB Side orchestra are pretty sweet seats too. Makes your experience a bit more magical.
