I guess looking at those great pictures that VTWC posted for us spaked something in me b/c last night I had a dream about CATS. Which I haven't had one in just over a year now. (I know b/c I after I have one I write it down and keep track of them for my website.) (If I can still get into it now...)

Anyway here's my dream:

Yes another dream about Mamma and me going to see CATS but it started outside the theater which looked like we were pulling up to the old Plaza Movie Theater which has now been remodeled and my mom and I got to church there now. (No kidding y'all it's really cool!!!)

But when we get inside it looks almost like the new school auditorium in Elk City; which my mom and I got to visit when a friend of ours did a concert there back in May.

The stairs were steep which is unusual for a theater or college type setting and somehow we were not up front as we always are but at the top of the stairs, like in the back row.

Everyone settled in their seats, somewhere, and the performance began but the lights were still on, which even in the dream I thought was strange.

The music started and the performers crept out onto the stage and into the audience, all the way up to the top row! The only thing was that their costumes were terrible! The looked like The Cowardly Lion's costume from “The Wizard of Oz”. (Which makes sense since I've been watching the special features on my “Wizard of Oz” DVD.) But still their makeup was half decent.

Everyone cheered and laughed as they came spilling off the stage and mingled with us. But for some reason I didn't have my camera with me, which is unusual for me to go to something like that and NOT have it with me. I kept telling my mom that we were going to see it again and when we did we'd bring the camera so that she could take pictures of me with the cast.

I think that's where the dream ended but after over a year of not dreaming about them it was kinda cool.

Like you, Tigress, my CATS dream starts with me going to a performance, but from there the experience veers slightly from the plausible. I am in my seat (somewhat near the front) when an usher informs me that I am needed backstage. When I go back there, I am asked why I am not in costume, and to hurry up... I am rushed through preparations and find myself ready to go onstage without knowing what is going on, trying to convince the Stage Manager that there has been some mistake and ... Fortunately for the audience, I usually wake up at that point. So far, I have been Old Dee or Gus... Since my vocal range is low baritone, I really could not do justice to either part - hence the trepidation...

Nice to see that others of our forum have similar dreams...

Those sound like really interesting dreams! Personally i've never dreamt about Cats, but when i do have dreams about shows, they tend to be very bizarre Shocked

I just dream I'm in rehearsals.....now our show has opened and my dreams involve costumes. the funny thing is we are always in bizarre places like on ships or in warehouses rehearsing. it is very interesting...it's so weird because the same things that happen in the show as far as who i interact with happen in my dreams. hahaha oh how cats has managed itseff into every aspect of my life.

I have two kind of Cats dreams :

- the most horrible one for me, which is nearly a nightmare : I find that Cats is played for a unique date in a city not far from where I live, but the day it is played and of course, there are no tickets left ! So I can only hang around the theatre and can't attend to the performance. So frustrating !

- the second one is that I attend to a non-professionnal Cats performance that is really bad, and I comment every negative point I see.
And sometimes in that dream, there is a man sitting next to me who is surprised that I know so much about Cats (lol) and it happens that he is working for Really Useful Group and he wants me to work for them. lol

It's very rare I dream that I really attend to Cats.
