Hey everybody!
I have an audition pretty soon (possibly today, it was cancelled from yesterday and might be rescheduled today) and I have a question about the song I chose-
Do you think "Home" from Beauty and the Beast is overdone? I chose it because I have a cold and the song I chose earlier is too high for me to go with my voice like this and I feel confident with "Home". Luckily, the director knows my voice already, so it's okay that I chose it so last minute.
The audition is for Wizard of Oz, so my thought process was- in "Home", all Belle wants is to be home, and in Wizard of Oz, all Dorothy wants is to be home.

So what I'm asking is, do you think Home is an okay audition song?

It's perhaps a little overdone, but you are right that it is very suited to Dorothy. I say go for it.

Thanks guys! I went with "Home", and got the Tin Man! Which was pretty random, but I'm happy!
