My anxiousness leads me to ask...What are the chorus parts in the show?
I have rehearsals starting Tuesday but I really cant wait and I've never seen the show so I'm really anxious to know what and how much the chorus does.

Female ensemble doesnt have alot to stage time. if you are a Hot Box Girl you get ot sing and dance backup for Adalaide in 2 numbers "Bushel and a Peck" and "Take Back Your Mink".
if you are mission band you sing in "Follow The Fold" and perhaps "Sit Down Your Rockin the Boat".

How many guys are in the ensemble? You might get to disguise as a crapshooter as well.

No guys... Just about 10 girls.

You'll definitely be crossdresssing if there are no guys. Guy ensemble has a lot of numbers. Also, the female ensemble often has acting roles and enters in scenes with Adelaide.

Sorry, I worded that wrong.
There are only about 10 girls doing solely ensemble.
I think this is exciting (even though it's really not) but I'll be singing with the mission band also just as an extra. Hooray!

Amen for the mission band! consider yourself warned, though ... by the time the run of the show is up, you will want to pull off your toenails rather than listen to "Follow the Fold" one more freaking time!

Yeah, it's getting that way already.
And it's funny because in the opening, I'm an illegal jewelry vender. Then I have to go and sing with the mission. Heh, I guess I'm just a little schizo..
