Okay well maybe they're not sloppy seconds... but I love not getting cast in a show, and then all of the sudden none of the people they offered roles to accepted them, so they're left with open roles and virtually no chorus...

mwahaha, then they call me, the desperate and not-so-talented girl, and say, 'marymag (which is not my real name,) we're really in a bind! can you come and be in the chorus?' and I say 'of course! i will do anything to be in a show! i have no pride! i don't care that you didn't cast me before and are only doing so now as a last resort!'

mwahahah... winter opera here I come...

(if this post makes no sense, pardon me. i'm really excited. this is what just happened to me with the winter opera i didn't get cast in at first)

Nah, it's Tender Land. Plus they need me in the mezzo section, which is gonna suck, cuz my lower notes are disgusting and I can't learn harmony easily. I'm spoiled by being a soprano and always singing the melody!

I guess the cast list for Boheme isn't up yet so I don't know for sure I'm not in it...

I know exactly how you feel. I have no problem being on the "B" list, as long as I end up getting in the show. That just gives you the great opportunity to show the director how wrong he/she was in not casting you in the first place!
