Musicals to video games

What musical could make a really good video game. If you can think of one say how the game would work.

example:
Les Mis- could make a great war/battle kind of game, like you're a rebel school student fighting off government forces.
Quique

Little Shop of Horrors - Fighting a whole bunch of Audrey II.

Book based, but still!

Erm...25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee would be a great educational game!

Hairspray could make a good DDR-esque rhythm game, considering it revolves around a TV show full of dancing kids.

I agree. It'd probably be the easiest show to turn into a video game just because of the number of characters/potential "objectives."

I'd buy it too. You could also throw in a Sweeney Todd cooking game kind of like that Cooking Mama DS game.

A just had a conversation with my friend the other day about how there should be a Phantom of the Opera video game. We were having trouble developing how it would work, a story game a guess, but we just thought it'd be fun!

maybe like one of those computer games for little kids that like animates the whole story,

"...And then the Phantom took out a long rope, and the man was hung above the stage of the Paris Opera House....NOW TURN THE PAGE Very Happy !"

That'd be kinda creepy for kids, but hey, I'd play!

I'm trying to remember some of the acctual challenges we came up with. One with Christine running around backstage while shes a dancer at the beginning, trying to get on stage in time. One playing as Buquet trying to escape from the Phantom (of coarse then some how you'd lose anyway...) We came up with a couple others, but I don't remember...

I wonder if the barricades of Les Mis could make a perfect video game? I don't know how it could be done but the students could storm the barricades against the Parisian mob might be effective.
benjivaudeville

Singstar: Broadway Edition!

Very Happy

I could see that as being an RTS
wicked_boy

A Wicked game could have sub - games like:

Save the monkeys, become popular, fight the Witch Hunters, "defy gravity", get to the Wizard.

As you travel around Oz.
Mistress

I think for POTO, it should a sort find-the-hidden-secrets-of-the-opera-house rpg...same with Sweeney Todd, except it sort of be a choose-your-own ending rpg...or a series fo small games like Give Mrs. Lovett Fresh Supplies (Sweeney) (just dion't kill the men who bring their wives and children with them) and Feed the Most Customers (Toby), Convict the Most Innocent Children(Judge), and Create the Perfect Pie Recipe to Outdue Mrs Mooney(Lovett)...or even Rescue Johanna (Anthony) etc etc.

Wicked: Belt Master (like Guitar Hero, only with vocals)

Miss Saigon: The Enginneer's create-a-whorehouse game-recruit girls, get loyal customers out of the army, outsmart revoultioanries, beat out other brothel owners, etc...sorta like Sims.

Les Mis- A Sims game, complete with homoerotic barricade boys and the clickable option of "subtext" under the "Interaction" menue.
Monsieur D'Arque

I think, if it didn't play up the Broadway connection, Sweeney Todd would make an incredible video game. And think of the incredible orchestral background music for it... use instrumental renditions of Sondheim's score.
ActingDude17

There's actually a "imagine Sweeney as a video game" thread at the Sweeney Todd Forum. Quite interesting, as you can probably guess.

I'd love Sweeney Todd as a video game. Wicked would also be nice.

That was exactly what I was thinking. It is most logical...

But I would want it to be a Karaoke Revolution one as to not have the lame music videos playing behind my singing.

And with Karaoke Revolution, it would be like, one a stage (as are any of the others) but like, with the whole costumes and acting, not just like, rock stadiums kinda thing.
