Music videos which you find to be inspiring...

Dear Musicals.Net Posters,

I love to watch music videos, and there are several music videos which I find to be inspiring.

One of them is Rhianna's "Unfaithful" music video. I really love the music, etc., but the entire concept has given me the idea that the song could be the inspiration for a story about a scientist who cheats on her boyfriend, and she starts to realize that she's experimenting with his soul in much the same way that she's experimenting with the chemicals, etc., in the lab in which she works.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

That's all.

I love Natalie Merchant's "Carnival" video. It's not on YouTube, unfortunately, but I found one of her performing it on some show...

Another one is a Spanish pop song from Mexican singer Alejandra Guzman. It's called "Despertar" which means "to awaken" from a detrimental love. The vid makes it look like a total chick song but I love the lyrics. And also gotta love Alejandra's raspy vocals! Hehe.

I'm not a music video fan, and haven't seen many, but of the ones I have seen:

"Not Ready to Make Nice" - Dixie Chicks
"No Rain" - Blind Melon (remember?? With the little bee girl?)

God, it just doesn't GET any better.

I love watching the Live Aid videos - the way Queen EXPLODED onto the stage, really swept the audience along, built up the energy x 100... they were FANTASTIC. I remember watching it live on TV, and blubbing happily at the end.

They'd been in a bit of a slump before this performance, people scorning them rather, but this revived the group's fortunes totally.

Indeed, that was after the South African tour that took place during the boycott. You're right though, Live Aid brought them right back on top again.
