It looks like it was an EXCELLENT production! I like your sets. Did you rent or make your backdrops? If you rented them, do you know where you guys got 'em?
superdave

We rented our backdrops from Charles H. Stewart & Co. From Somerville, MA. We made all our sets, my favorite one was the Train for Rock Island. It's a shame, we have to strike them all down today. Sad

Aww your Winthrop and Amaryliss are TOO CUTE!!! And everyone has always got GREAT expressions on their faces!!! Awesome
Tiny-Tot

Very professional looking production. The sets and costumes are just awesome. Great pictures.

RANDOM STORY TIME: My mom, being the set designer and painter hates the strike day--especially after our Music Man production. She spent hours on our train (which was awesome) and then discovered that it's only in one scene for five minutes. Our theatre promised to use it in our upcoming production of Hello Dolly so it got saved. YEAH!

Hahah that's awesome! I hate striking sets too!!...somehow it feels morally wrong or something...lol

Amazingly it only took us a little under 2 hours. It was so sad seeing the Train being destroyed. The Train was my favorite set, and it was really sad for this show to end. As bizzare as it was, for it growing on me. Well, another show down. I cant wait till the next one! I have at least 3 more shows by the end of the year. And next year I plan on doing Jesus Christ Superstar! So, this is the show that's kinda' starting the momentum!
Anyways!!!! Thanks for the comments!

Definitely looks like a great production. What part did you play? Major props to the photographer, as well... The pictures turned out beautifully. Very Happy

I was just in the chorus.

Shame shame shame!! You weren't JUST in the chorus, you were simply in the chorus. There are no small parts, only small actors!!! Wink

I agree. Sorry, I wasn't meaning to embarrass you or anything. I was just asking because I wanted to look for you in the pictures. Lol. But I was in the chorus of The Music Man, too, when my school did the show my freshman year. So fun! Very Happy

I didnt say it in a shameful way. I was happy to be in the chorus. 1) I hated the part of Harold Hill, I dont think I could give it justice... 2) I just wanted a small role coming off of a huge lead part in my previous production. I am under the belief that actors have to do everything...

AMEN! The girl who played Marian in our Music Man is now in chorus and plays the Star to Be in Annie. She was AMAZING as Marian, but she is awful in the chorus. It seems as though either (a) she has a hard time playing several roles, (b) she hasn't developed a character as she would for a lead, (c) her brain (and talents) have been kidnapped by aliens. I, on the other hand, (not to brag) can hold both lead and chorus roles best... but I prefer supporting roles. They have less lines, are often funnier, and steal the show. Plus they get all the good songs.

The pictures are outstanding. It looks like a great production. I myself have never done this show, but my sister has, and loved every single second of it. Very Happy

Our Marian was okay....A wonderful singer. Probably the best I have ever heard...but not such a great actress.
