Just found out that this is my show for next year at my high school and I am /extremely/ excited. It is a big step up after this year's show which was King and I, which most know hardly has any female parts while BatB is brimming with them.

Auditions are not for a couple months from now, but I am already stressing because I really want Mrs. Potts. It's going to be my senior year show and I've never had a part in a high school show because I'm considered an alto, and my junior year show did not have an alto role (King and I), although I did have a few alto solos in my sophomore show, which was Brigadoon since the part of Meg went to an older girl who was a soprano.

Any suggestions on a song to audition for Mrs. Potts? I was thinking the ending of 'Days of Plenty' from the musical Little Women, which has a huge display of range and that sort of motherly melancholy feel to it, just like 'Beauty and the Beast'.

Any help would be wonderful! Thanks!
