Movie Remake Dream CastThere have been a bunch of rumors flying around about a remake of Guys and Dolls. Who would you like to see in it?
I know that everyone hates her, but Kristin Chenoweth would make a good Adelaide. Possibly Nathan Lane as Nathan (I liked him in the revival). I have no idea who would play Sarah or Sky... perhaps Ewan McGregor again as Sky. If it were a Disney version they would probably cast Ashley Brown as Sarah as she seems to be one of their favorites on Broadway (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, On the Record).
What do you guys think?

To quote my uncle: "The girl's got pipes". He always says that. Anyways, Lithgow would be an excellent choice... twenty years ago. I could see him as Arvide.

I actually believe Ewan was Nathan in London..ironic no?..kind of like how Frank Sinatra was Nathan in the original adnd Marlon Brando was Sky..so strange. But I think Ewan would make a great Sky..and Cheno would be pretty good as Adelaide if she could do the accent..I think Matthew Broderick could also be a good Sky..and Nathan Lane could play his namesake (he actually changed his first name after the Guys & Dolls character for equity because his real name was already taken). Sarah?..I'm not sure actually..I can't think of anyone who would fit the part who I know has a voice..maybe an unknown would be better for that..or they could see if any of the more well known people could sing..I personally don't feel the need for a new movie of it yet..but a taped version of the show would be really awesome!

No, he was Sky. Jason Alexander might be good as Nathan or Nicely-Nicely as well.

Disney now has the rights for Guys and Dolls starring Hugh Jackman and should be in production within the year. So it's very possible Cheno will get Adelaide as she has already done two of the other remakes.

I think that Cheno would be a great Adelaide. Not sure about the rest of the cast. Jason Alexander as Nicely-Nicely wouldn't be terrible, but I'd rather someone else...

THat's because it hasn't been started yet, really. Disney got the rights to two "classic" musicals (one of which is G&D, the other we don't know yet) and an original musical, and had Hugh Jackman sign something saying he'd act in all three of them. They were supposed to start with the original musical first (filming, that is), but they've switched to working on G&D first, and are currently looking for a director and casting the show.
