I'm auditioning for a youth production of Sweeney Todd in about a month, and I'm in desperate need of a monologue (from before 1959). Being 18 and normally catering to the Little Red Riding Hoods of the world, I don't really have anything in my repertoire for Mrs. Lovett.

Any ideas? What have you used to the past?

I don't have the play on me to see if anything works, but what about something from one of the old women in Arsenic and Old Lace? Probably too obvious but it's the first thing that came to my mind.
