monologue rule?is there any rule against using a monologue from a show that you are currently in (or recently finished) for an audition?

I think that's the BEST monologue to use - one that you've rehearsed and performed 1000 times. That's all Chevstriss uses, actually.
I've done only 2 monologues in shows - and neither I ever felt like I really 'nailed' so I don't use em.

I agree ... since you've already practiced/polished them ... it's actually a really good idea!
Unless (huge red flag) the show you are currently auditioning for with that monologue was the same theatre at which you performed that monologue ... they've already seen you do it .... it won't be impressive ... at all ....
