Monologue in english accent...

I need a monologue for the Jane Eyre the Musical auditions and I figured I should do something in an english accent cuz the show is done in english accents....But...I can't think of anything except stuff from the Importance of Being Earnest cuz I just did that, and I'll do something from there if I have to..But maybe something not so goofy?? Any ideas??

Before choosing a monologue with an accent I would first check with the casting director if that's what they want.

In my experience they usually don't want you to do a monologue with any accent unless it specifically asks for it on the audition notice. Directors want to hear your natural speaking voice....anyone can be taught how to speak with an accent with the help of a dialect coach. So, before choosing something that may hurt your audition I'd check on that first.

EDIT: Oh golly!! I didn't even read the time stamp on this post!! It came back from the dead and I didn't even notice!! I'm sorry!

Well, at least I gave some good advice eh? Even if it was several months past due!!!
