Miss Saigon school edition?

Hey all,

Does the Saigon School Edition exist yet in terms of it being freely purchasable? If so, how can I secure a copy for our school's musical theatre group? I'd love to run it and think that this is the year to do it - but how easy is it to secure the rights?

Cheers,

Joseph

I don't believe there IS a school edition.

There may not be a school edition, but I've heard of schools that produced the show.

My college is doing the show this summer. My theatre arts professor is directing it- she's told us several times how she's going to stage it in the style of Brecht, with minimalist sets and signs used to convey location.

The show isn't good for high schools.

The all-tenor male principles thingy is gonna alienate a large section of the choir.

He asked for "freely purchasable", not illegal.

Yes, schools do put on the show though there probably isn't an offical school edition. Here is a link to a video clip of one, the scene is "The Fall of Saigon." I think it is done pretty well.

There is a new school edition being made.

My school is work-shopping the show next fall. Apparently some of the keys have been changed.
