Miss Saigon school edition?

Hey all,

Does the Saigon School Edition exist yet in terms of it being freely purchasable? If so, how can I secure a copy for our school's musical theatre group? I'd love to run it and think that this is the year to do it - but how easy is it to secure the rights?

Cheers,

I don't think there is a school edition available for Saigon. However, amatuer rights are available for the production of the full show. They are available through Music Theatre International. Check out the website for all the information on how to secure the rights.

I'm pretty sure that Miss Saigon School Edition is still in development. The next School Edition to be released will probably be Hairspray. They're doing Hairspray School Edition with a national cast at the Int'l Thespian Convention in Lincoln this summer. So my guess is that Hairspray could be available for schools to present in the Spring of 09. At least by next summer! Depending on the tour, I guess.

Don't know if Saigon will be next. But the full version is available for licensing.
