Hello there, I'm new here...

I've been reading some of the posts on here, and some off of the audition help thread... Unfortunately I don't know many of the songs listed on there... (I don't usually live in places where they have musicals, let alone in their original language!)

Anyway there MIGHT be a production of Cabaret where I live, and I'm interested in auditioning for the role of Sally... I'm a lyrical soprano but with a range of 3 octaves. Lately I've been working on more lyrical materials... opera arias, and a couple of musicals. Started working again on belting recently but it's been a while honestly...

So, what are some good audition songs? Any tips in general? I was thinking of doing "My Strongest Suit" from Aida, but I see that Aida doesn't seem like a good idea generally speaking. I'm not familiar with Cabaret at all, so any help would be appreciated!
