Messages from you, to the famous people browsing MdNLook. Broadway celebrities must read at least a few threads here. We're the (one of?) the biggest places to talk about musical theatre and Broadway ('biggest,' as in most popular). It's almost impossible for people like Sondheim, or even chorus members of shows, NOT to read a few MdN threads here and there.
That having been said, let's write messages to these famous people, whether they're here or not. Give your honest opinions of their work- for all we know, Sondheim might even have an account on here! Think about it- there's a grand total of 16231 users here (as of 1:48pm on Sunday, April 20th, 2008) who all- for the most part- love musical theatre. There's bound to be some Broadway stars out there, besides Lea Salonga who publicly stated she has an account.
I'll post a message here once I think of something to say, and who to write to (I have a feeling Matthew will be here often, though! )

Dear Julia Murney:
I am going up to my second-least-favorite California city, Sacramento, just to see you as Evita. Please do not be out. Also, Music Circus doesn't have understudies anyway, so you can't be out.
Love (but not when you were out when I saw Wicked),

MDN probably isnt one of the first message boards to pop up when you type in a Broadway performers name, so I wouldnt hold on to the belief toooo strongly that they frequent the site or are users.
So I shall just do this for fun.
Sutton Foster, Roger Bart, Megan Mullally, Christopher Fitzgerald, and Andrea Martin: Thanks for being fierce Saturday afternoon, but next time how about at least one of the seven principals steps out the stage door for a hot second?
Matt Doyle, besides Williamsburg being the best neighborhood in Brooklyn, I totes want to live there in hopes of running into you one day and bringing up random chat and then go out for drinks, fall in love, and get married. So um. Just send me a message or something, we can work it out.
Aaron Lazar, Michael Arden, Cheyenne Jackson, Barrett Foa: orgy.
That is pretty much it.

Did you miss the memo about Lea Salonga posting on mnet's Les Miz forum when she was playing Fantine?

Dear Idina Menzel,
I. Love. You.
I saw you in Wicked and your legendary performance and kick-ass powerhouse voice blew me away. I spoke to you afterwards which was one of the best experiences of my life. I cannot wait until I get the privilege to see you perform live in the future. Come back to London soon!
Much love,
Christian.

Jesuis, can I come as a third wheel with you and Matt Doyle?
I thought of another one,
Sierra Boggess,
You are too talented for words to describe, IMO, but you broke 15 five year olds and this 16 year old girl's heart when both times I saw TLM, you ran off. I usually get to the stage door early so please hang out for one second? I still think you're amazing!
Always,
Michelle (still a child who enjoys a disney musical)

Dear The Entire Original Broadway Cast of Into the Woods:
You are incredible. I watch the video as much as possible and I'm always amazed by how you all can make me laugh hysterically one second and be on the verge of tears the next. Were I to list what I appreciated about each performer, this note would go on for miles. But has that ever stopped me? I'll do a few ...
Bernadette Peters: You are breathtaking. Seriously. The fact that you have this much talent is unfair to the rest of the population.
Chip Zien: I love you.
Ben Wright: Why do we see nothing from you after this? Your voice is hypnotic. And you're adorable.
Kim Crosby: I envy you your role, your voice, and your husband.
Dear Brian Stokes Mitchell:
You are massively talented. And hot. Do more shows. Thanks.
Dear Michael Ball:
I love your voice. However ...Please stop being cheesy. Leave us wanting more, not less. Please.
Dear Lea Salonga:
Although the Eppie-bopper craze is almost completely your fault, you're such a great Fantine that I can't hold you in contempt for it.
Dear Kristin Chenoweth:
Your versatility amazes me. Rock on.
That's all for now, folks.

I love you beyond words. please tour in a show that will come to Toronto so I can see you live at least once before I die.
Angela Lansbury
I worship you. You are one of the greatest actresses, on film and on broadway, of the 20th and 21st centuries. I can only dream of meeting you, but know that at least one kid of the Disney Generation really discovered Mrs. Potts.
John Cudia
You blew me away when I saw you in POTO last March, keep up the good work
Shoshana Bean
I love you, please get greenified one last time for your fans, and riff like it was your last night to sing
Judy Kaye and the entire cast of the Sweeney Todd revival tour
You rocked my socks big time and actually converted my cousin, so thank you very very much.
Rebecca Caine
you kick Sarah Brightman's ass. Emmy Rossum could've learned a thing or two from you. I'm glad you're a local gal...maybe I'll buy I ticket to the opera just to see you, if you're in.
Hugh Panaro
You are an amazing performer, but please, no more sideburns.

Oh wait, I have more!
Dear Rebecca Caine:
You are an inspiration to sopranos everywhere. And I'm glad I know you ... a little bit ... you know how vague internet connections are ... but anyway, you've been really nice to me. And I want to sing half as well as you someday.
Dear John Owen-Jones:
I don't like blond men. But I like you. Will you marry me?
Dear Ruthie:
Don't open your mouth if you don't want to. You're too amazing to change.

I have seen the movies and TV shows she has done and bootlegs of most of the shows she has done and all of them are pretty much the same character.

Dear Laura Bell Bundy, Christian Borle, and Sutton Foster:
You are all talented and amazing, and everyone who gossips about who is cheating on who should just give it up. No one really cares that much anymore. What matters is that you're all great performers.
Love,
Me
Dear Kristy Cates,
You're easily the most down-to-earth, kind, and inspirational actors I've ever met. Your performance in Wicked was amazing, and your master class gave me courage I didn't know I had to pursue my musical theatre dreams. I wish more actors could be as kind-hearted and dedicated as you, and I commend you for all you've done for your fans.
Love,
Me

Dear Chita Rivera:
OK so its been a few yrs since our last girl chat- remember sharing cosmos after last Nine preview? and your little white doggie was nibbling my fingers? (thank god for antibacterial wipes). I haven't heard from you but I know you've been tied up with Dancer's Life and all.
BUT
since then it has come to my attention that you did a TV PILOT with my 70s idol. Back in the 70s. His FIRST EVER acting job.
Did you know he had NEVER said lines before? What was it like playing the young studly Marjoe Gortner's common law wife/baby mama/older woman? Did he have you constantly in fits of giggling? Or was he too awed by you to joke around? Or was he too new to the biz to even realize you are a LEGEND? Did he have the cast and crew eating out of his charming hand? Or was he quiet and observant learning the ropes of TV filming in NYC? Do you have ANY memories of the first true counter-culture hippie icon to make the jump to TV acting?
Did you have the feeling that this TV movie was gonna win an Emmy?
