Meeting The Cast

Hi

I'm going to see Wicked on the Wednesday 18th July Matinee, and I was hoping to meet the cast afterwards. Do the cast leave the theatre between the matinee and the evening performance, and if so, how long would I have to wait for them to come out?

Broadway, London, Chicago, tour? Well, it's the same answer everywhere really.

Most actors usually will come out and grab a bite to it in between shows so you'll probably catch them. Actress playing Elphaba will probably take longer to appear though.

Yeh, like in Les Mis, a matinee day, an even longer show, most people came out, but some stayed inside. I think Wicked is the same. I know NY, they arent too stage door happy anymore, I've heard. But best of luck!

For London, Kerry usually doesn't come out between shows. Susie and Nigel don't usually come out. Dianne I don't know. Olly usually comes out. James, KRJ, and most of the ensemble should come out. Sometimes people don't want to sign and do pictures, sometimes they will gladly. It depends.

If they don't want to be seen by a mob tackling for autographs, they might take a back door, or exit through FOH.

The London cast are happy to sign things though, but if they are in a rush, they wont. Lol.

If I was a cast member I'd always want to meet my fans, afterall, they are the ones who keep you going in a show.

You say that now, but if you had it happening all the time, everytime you perform, I'm sure it would get awkward and not fun after awhile.
What Is This Feeling?

Ofcourse, that goes without saying. Some people don't do it at all though. If I had a good show I would definately come out. I would try 75% of the time, to meet the cast, but if I had a sucky show or I just wasn't feeling well I'd try to find another way out, ya know? Or just stay backstage between both peformances. Although, sometimes when actors are personall y are having horrible days, the performance, brightens them. So it all depends.
