Me singing Green Finch and Linnet Bird

So i'm really scared posting this because so many of you are AMAZING singers but i really want some feedback/ constructive criticism/ compliments...maybe because i'm about to go to college and start auditioning for more serious things. So here's the deal, before i was 16 i had never really sung before in my life. But once i started seriously acting in high school and became intrigued by musical theater I started taking voice lessons (when i was 16) so i've only been taking them for about 2 years now and i've come a long way but i still have a long way to go. And this isn't the best i've ever sang it, since i was performing in front of an audience i was kind of nervous. So just keep in mind i haven't been doing this nearly as long as most of you. Anyway here it is Anxious thanks in advance!

It's such a hard song.
All I can advice is breath control. The only reason that you're having trouble with some of the long high notes is because proper breath control is missing. Although this may have to do with the nerves. You also sound really hastily... But once again this may be due to the nerves. So all I advice is to work more on the breath support and perform more before audiences so that you don't have to feel nervous anymore!
Maybe it's an idea to start your performance with a slighter easier song so that you can calm down, before you start your big number.

thanks, and thanks for the kind comments people left on the video.
oddly enough this wasn't my first song i did at my recital, and the song i did before was opera that technically should of been harder (as it went higher and had vocal runs) but i found it a lot easier to do. I think maybe since i'm just so familiar with this song it intimidates me a bit. I wasn't extremley nervous or anything but for me like any nerves at all=harder to breathe so yeah i definitely get what you mean.
Fantine

Well if it isn't because of the nerves you really have to work on your breath support and keep your vibrato a little more under control.
Props on you though!

well no i'm saying it is because of nerves because any amount of nerves whatsoever equals= harder to breath for me.
Fantine

Well then work on controlling the nerves + breath support (which in turn makes your vibrato better).
shakalakababy

yup definitely. I didn't discover my vibrato until a couple of months ago so i now that i know i can get it i just have to learn how to control it.
