I would really like to audition actually. But the only thing is..i don't have a microphone. So really im useless. It does sound like quite the experience though. Sorry. If there was an alternative I would take it.

Actually, I think I found mine for like 6 bucks at Radio Shack or Best Buy. They should plug directly into the computer, and aren't too hard to find...maybe try Radio Shack.

I have Karaoke Revolution and I used the USB microphone for that. I also have a SingStar one but it's so quiet and doesn't work well.

Well, here's No Good Deed lol, recorded with my crappy singstar mic form the playstation lol!the first bit sounds really nasally, NOT becaus e i'm singing through my nose but because in the first recording i used the mic volume was way too loud but i couldn't be bothered to do the first bit again, but anyway. It's not my best, but no nasty comments please.

Oooh a banner would be awesome. Also, once the first part of dancing through life is done, up until nessa, I'll do mine. However, I am sick at the moment and am busy, being involved in another show at the moment (then I have another but I'll have more time with that show, the rehearsals are not as intense).

You'd be better to host it yourself =] Right click on the image and go to Properties and then copy the URL. You can host it then on a photobucket album or whatever, just in case ImageShack packs in or something =D

Isn't there a song that Nessa sings? "The Wicked Witch of the East" in some production. If someone has the instrumental or lyrics, I could try it. I'd also need another recording or whatever. I don't know. Once the first part of Dancing Through Life is done, I'll definitely do my part.

It's in every production, it just wasn't included on the soundtrack because most of the song is split up by dialogue and it gives away too much plot according to Schwartz. I have the piano/conductors score for the show, but that would only be able to produce a piano instrumental... there are people who use sibelius and other programs to orchestrate their own instrumentals, but I don't know anyone who can =/

If you aren't familiar with the song, there are plenty of clips of it on youtube. I'll most likely cut it down like they do on the soundtrack, though, deleting out the unnecessary scripted parts.

I've just had a thought... maybe we could do a Two-Disc Recording. Have all the soundtrack songs on the first disc, and then have a Piano/Vocal second disk where people can record any Wicked songs they want to. So we can put the Wicked Witch of the East on there, and I'd love to do versions of Defying Gravity and Making Good (a song that was later replaced by The Wizard and I)

So it'd be like Disc 1: Soundtrack, Disc 2: Acoustic Songs... just a thought =]

Oh, no that's what I already said...

Disc 1: The Cast Recording, where we record the soundtrack like it is in the parts we're cast as.

Disc 2: Wicked Tribute CD/Open Mic CD, so that's any songs you want to sing, songs deleted from the show and stuff not on the soundtrack etc. So not too many songs that are already on the soundtrack.

As for doubling up for ensemble, sounds like a good idea. I'm doing a LES MIS recording and that is what we are doing. I play Enjolras (I know! I'm a girl but I have a low voice. Haha. xD) and I also play one of the Turning ladies.

I don't the backing track for DTL sadly. I have Legally Blonde backing tracks from when I was audition for my last show because I had to sing two songs from that for a callback. xD Haha.

But yeah, um, once actor get's his done, we can all put our parts into it.

To be honest, I think this recording is going to come along nicely. :] SOOO EXCITED.
