Okay so call me stupid, but I really don’t understand what’s going on during this. Does this have some deeper/hidden meaning towards the homeless or something along those lines? How? I always get so confused when I see this part so can someone explain to me in plain English what Maureen is trying to say? That Is, if she’s trying to say anything at all. I just don’t get it.

She is saying that, though Benny used to be one of them, a child of Bohemia, he has now changed entirely; gone to the other side, if you will. This is in protest at the proposed closing-down of her performance space

Maureen is trying to rally the homeless and others who have come to see the protest against Benny, because he's trying to chuck all of them out of their tent city (also Maureen's performance space) so he can build his CyberArts studio. Her message is a bit jumbled because Maureen is not a very good performance artist.

Maureen's... protesting two things. I think she is protesting the eviction of so many people, but I think the fact that she lost her performance space helped. I disagree that it was the only reason, but Maureen seems like the sort of person who means well, but often still thinks of herself more than others, even when she tries not to. ("This diva needs her stage" - yes, it referred to flirting, but I don't think that's the only thing it referred to.)

In agreement with everything already said, I also think that Elsie the Cow is a symbol of the people who are being oppressed. I like Oer the Moon a lot better now than I used to. If you don't like it, I'm pretty sure it will grow on you.
