Masquerade Ball help!!

Hello mdn posters, I must beseech you all for some help. My theatre company is putting on a masquerade ball as a fundraiser in a couple of months (I'm so excited!) Well, I am in charge of setting up the cabaret-style show during dinner. I would like some input on a good mix of musical theatre songs for men, women, duets, groups, etc. that would fit the masquerade ball theme.

I'd like to get a good mix of classic, contemporary, well known, lesser known sonngs together. Any ideas welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Well, obviously, "Masquerade" from The Phantom of the Opera. This would be a good group song to start with.

Will the ball be a sort of 18th century-themed masquerade? If so, lots of old opera and operetta as well as songs from the musicals of the 40's and early 50's will work.

Hey sorry to dig out an old post...but, I'd like some more help on this. Below is the list of songs I have already that we will be using. Yes, they are very common songs, but with our audience we'd like to kind of keep it that way. Well, I'd like to add a few more songs, but I don't know what! I'd like some more upbeat entertaining songs, sicne these are almost all ballads. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks!
