Mamma Mia! Tour

I just noticed that the Mamma Mia! tour will be in Atlanta July 25-30. When it comes to Atlanta, Mamma Mia! usually stays for 2 weeks but this time only 1 week so is the show's box office draw losing some steam?

The Monique Lund/Kristie Marsden/Ellen Harvey/Robin Baxter/and others of the first cast of Tour 2 were awesome! It was this cast that got me hooked on musicals. I saw the first show with the new cast and that show was ok but it didn't rock the house nearly as well. Has anybody seen the Tour 2 lately, and has the cast really improved? And is there still a Tour 1?

I'm going to see Mamma Mia! when it hits Edinburgh (Scotland) this Wednesday. Ah woohoo. It's playing for 8 weeks here.
I love ABBA, and the story sounds funny...

Even saw Bjorn Again playing in Ireland last Summer, hehe.

Mamma Mia in Edinburgh

I saw Mamma Mia in Edinburgh back in Nov 2004 and it was great. Some slight differences from the other productions I've seen (London and several in the US), and one big difference. Instead of Bill Austin, the Aussie, they had Bill Meyer, the German. Interesting......

The international tour that finished in Edinburgh last week had a different version again - he's back to Bill Austin, but he's now from Lancashire (and played by ex-Valjean Sean Kingsley).

Benny and Bjorn will have Kristina going on Broadway soon, their musical about Swedish emigrants.

I saw the tour in Syracuse. Although I wasn't completely crazy about the plot, the engery the cast had made it a wonderful time.
