I saw a high school version of Annie. Nothing is weirder than watching a 15-year-old alto play Molly. Plus, it was the school's opera sect so while they were all fabulous singers who I'd kill for their voice, some of their acting choices were questionable (Miss Hannigan as an uptight bitch, not a drunken one? Her HITTING on Rooster who is not her brother? Huh?), the staging was a bit awkward (Hooverville was completely downstage) and random bits (A random tapdance in Easy Street that I'll admit was awesome, but completely distracting, and some random Daddy Warbucks song they made up themselves). And there were two Annies, an acting one and one who sang on the radio stuff... hard to explain, but it was really maddening.
