Haha, that's like kids who, when they are asked what their parents names are, answer "mom and dad".

I don't think I've ever seen Giry's name mentioned anywhere.

Hahaha... that's great Laughing

In the so-called "sequel" to POTO, The Phantom of Manhattan, her name is Antoinette.

Ew.
ShadowInTheWings

My thoughts exactly.

For some reason, I always call her Marie in my head. Just cause Marie Giry sounds pretty trippy, and she kinda reminds me of Marie from Moulin Rouge.

Agreed. But mostly because I hate that book.

Antoinette seems way too floofy a name for Madame Giry. Meh.
Brother Marvin Hinten, S.

I've always dreamed of Chantal, if for no other reason than my...er...friend has that name.
Megan the Phantom Girlie

I've called her Eugénie in all my phan phics. (Pronounced "oh-zhen-ee", much prettier than it looks.)

And I will insist until the day I die that Meg's full name is Marguerite. You don't get French girls who are just named Meg like you do in English-speaking countries.

Good point.
