LUCKY ME!!!

Hello all!
Its been a while since ive been on, but I have been VERY busy. I was cast in Once Upon a Mattress and have had practice like crazy!!! Anyway, I emailed the "Troikas" and surprisingly got responses from 2 of the nicest workers Ive ever come into contact with!(Jennifer Lott and Courtney Davis) I will post the full email thread if asked, but I'd rather email them, seeing as to how it is kinda long. Main ideas though: I emailed about CATS not being updated on the wbsite and got a response sayin they are currently working on the show Iteneraries(?) for the upcogming season, all info. will be posted in August, and that so far, the only COMPANY CONFIRMED stops are:Charleston WV, Huntington WV and Norfolk VA. I WAS SO EXCITED! Also that this is THE North American tour and that this upcoming season will even equal the Broadway show! All this personally adressed to me! Please comment on that!
Next, I would just like to say that MCree O'Kelley and Stanley Allyn Owen confirmed me as a friend on Facebook. Just thought that was REALLY cool and wanted to share. I have been in personal contact with them. You can PM me with questions on the convo's with those CAST members!(PLEASE DO!!)

CORRECTION:THESE ARE THE ONLY CONFIRMED STOPS CLOSE TO NORTH CAROLINA! SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION! I WILL POST ALL OF THE COMPANY CONFIRMED STOPS SHORTLY! TERRIBLY SORRY!

And they're not coming through AZ this year. *cries*

You're also forgetting that 'like Bway' means ditching the bouncy set and only using the real one.
MungoShanks

Yes, I am aware of the Bouncy Set needing to be ditched and on the 12th I sent a message to Jennifer, so later today I should get an email with anything and everything about the bouncy set from Where they bought it to where they store it. They better just pray that I dont visit the storage house with any sharp objects. Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

I really doubt they'll do that. Its versatility, portability, ease of set up and take down, and of course overall lower costs will make it too tempting to ditch. Without the hard set they need fewer trailers (just one), the bouncy set can fit in more theaters so there are more places they can visit, only 4 stagehands are needed to set it up and take down, and it speeds the time to pack and unpack the show. The last two holding down labor costs and getting the show on the road sooner. That all helps to keep CATS profitable and hopefully saves enough to restore the number of cast members and previously cut parts.

Yeah, but the tent tour could set up a stage/set the size of the New London Theatre on two days, visit any place it wanted to, and still turn a profit with an expanded production.
Flitterbug

The reason for that? Australians rock.

It still comes down to which is more profitable. A set that can fit inside many pre-existing theaters might still be cheaper than a tent road show. Troika is looking at the smaller previously overlooked markets and in some cases doing one day shows so easy, fast, and cheap setup and take down is important.

We probably won't see another Equity tour until CATS is revived.
