I was going to see it. But the pics of it made it look so rubish I didn't bother Laughing

Closed already? Buggerations.

It's run ends on the 25th of February if I remember correctly. I must book tickets. I'm really eager to hear Mike Mcshane's new take on the character, and the new design, of Audrey II. Very Happy

The Audrey II will make you sick. It is so rubbish. It is nothing like the Broadway Revival plant.
benjivaudeville

Not very good? Oh dear, I think I'll still go, simply so LSOH can be the first musical I ever see on stage.
Jenko

Yeah, you're right closes 25th Feb. Thought it already had.
I still wanna see it though.

yeh but lets be honest now... this isn't the broadway revival, it's only a short run off west end

It's now going into West End - http://www.littleshopthemusical.com/

Not liking the plant, at all, in those pictures...
I loved the plant I saw on the tour, it was 10x better.

Very Happy

Don't miss this show at the Duke of York's!
The sold-out, production at the Menier Theatre was absolutely fantastic, and thoroughly deserves its transfer.
Alistair McGowan will be playing 'the dentist', but the other principals stay the same. Great interaction between the cast, great music, singing, acting.
This show's got the lot! Watch out for the amazing Sheridan Smith, who, as well as looking gorgeous, brings a range of emotions to the role of Audrey. You will laugh with her and you will cry with her, as she moves effortlessly from comedy to pathos. You might have seen her in her many television roles (Two Pints....,Royle Family, Grownups etc), but now watch her in a musical..she's a revelation!
Can't wait to see it in the West End

I saw the show last month, a few days before it closed. It was brilliant. I also saw 4 shows on West End and Little Shop of Horrors outshone them all. The trio of girls was brilliant. The intimate atmosphere (although a little cramped feeling) was really effective. Somewhere that's Green was so touching, Audrey was fantastic. I am so glad this production is heading to West End! The plant was really a lot more effective than it looks in the pictures.

I agree. It was one of the best shows I've seen last year. Hard core fans of the movie version always hope for exact replica of the show.... if you are one of them... you're in for a big surprise....

At least all of the ones I know who have seen it loved the show. I didn't know Sheridan Smith and she was just such a gem. Her Suddenly Seymour is so different to Ellen Greene's. I was close enough to see her tears build up in her eyes. Her take on the role is more real rather than caricature (although I dooo love Ellen's creation of the Audrey role).

Can't wait to see the West End stage mounting next month.

She was so brilliant in this song. I was directly in front of her, 3 rows from the front and she was definitely crying by the end - it was enough to make tears well up in MY eyes. Her Audrey was like no other interpretation that I have seen before.

I walked past the Duke of York theatre yesterday, and the exterior looks great! There are vines smashed out of the windows and entwined around the bilboard.

Also, there is a nice window display in Dress Circle, consisting of about 10 small Audrey II's and one large Audrey II (looks like the one used for Ya Never Know).

I didn't get pics of either, but I will next time I'm in London.

Great theatre displays huh! I work nearby and always have time to walk by St. Martin's Lane.

Hi guys, I've done a few pictures of LSoH staring with press night at the Menier, a photocall ahead of the transfer, the photocall at the Duke, and the after party on press night.
sherwills

thanks for the photos Tog

Shame on all of you that didn't see this!

Fair enough most of you probably live in America anyway! Smile

I saw it twice and the Ambassadors theatre within 3 weeks of eachother! I'll admit the first time I saw the plant in the video it didn't look good, but I learnt to accept the new design and came to love it! It seems like you can actually see the evil!

The first time I saw it I didn't like it very much. Probably because I'd only seen the film version before and wasn't expecting such a depressing end! But when I heard it was closing I needed to see it again, if only for Sheridan Smith! Laughing

But on the last night it was absolutly brilliant!!!!!! They gave it all they had and made it so funny and emotional!!!!! That one performance made me so obsessed to make the new Audrey II one of my puppet series!!!!!!!!! I'm so gutted that they may not be touring!!!!

But that's because they're affraid of loosing money again like the last tour they did.
