Well, the talk has been about Ted being in a proposed Vatican production that will lead into a world tour, or it was before Carl died. The next mention I saw of it was when the RTC was trying to fix the dates of MAN OF LA MANCHA (with Ted) to dovetail with RASPUTIN and "a proposed Vatican/world tour of JCS." Now it looks like Carl's wishes are being acted upon.

Hold on... R&H told me that this will be a non-Equity tour. Isn't it illegal for Mr. Neeley to appear in this, then?

Andy, I remember hearing from some article about the Equity vs. non Equity crap back in the late 90s that Ted and Carl resigned from Equity to do the AD tour. I don't think Ted rejoined. It was never announced if he did.

You are correct. At least as of Fall, 2004, Ted was not a member of Actors Equity. I highly doubt that has changed.

As far as The Farewell Tour goes, Troika will probably announce booking dates and locales on Broadway.com - possibly as soon as next week. I'm told there are 40 bookings so far (by a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE). The only one we know about is at the Lyric Opera House in Balitomore, MD - and that's in May, 2007.

A non-eq tour can put an eq member in it's show under "eq guest contract". Although I don't know if Mr. Neeley has rejoined equity either....either way, no rules being broken by him doing the tour...The tour starts Sept 2006.
