Looking for R&H songs for me...So, I'm starting college for MT this Fall, and they are going to be focusing on R&H music throughout the year, since the first show is Carousel.
Unfortunately, while I know a bit about of R&H, I don't know it well enough to really figure out songs for my voice type. I can't think of any, essentially.
That's where you come in!
I'm a mezzo-belter. That...doesn't open up much unless I want to only sing Ado Annie songs, which most other girls will probably be doing. I have a large range, but I'm definitely not a Laurie. I'd love things that aren't too overdone, either - that would be awesome!
HELP.
(And thanks for reading/helping!)

I wonder if the SOM theme and Climb Ev'ry Mountain would suit you - I know they're a little high for you but you could sing them effectively.

"Honey Bun" from South Pacific is a great song that shows off voice and personality!
The style in Carousel is extremely legit, but if you're a belter, Honey Bun could go both ways.
