Hi! I am Elizabeth. I am going to be in CATS in a month and have been rehearsing for two months already. The show is really coming along and I was cast as Demeter. I am so excited to sing MaCavity... such a fun song. I bought a base unitard (gold) and I am going to have the black and white airbrushed on along with the rest of the cast this Saturday. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could add on to the unitard after its colored. Also, I know I need a tail... but I am not sure what I could make it out of. One more thing, If anyone knows a website where I could find a makeup pattern for Demeter I would appreciate it... Thanks a million!!!

If you can, sew some "fluffies" onto the shoulders. Fake fur is too thick and blocky, it's better to sew on little bits of yarn and/or frayed fabric to make a fur-look.
Tails are easy to make out of yarn... get black and gold yarn to match your unitard, you need to braid a core, then tie on lengths of yarn. Then braid a waist cord to tie it on, and if you can, put a popper at the back of the waist and to the tail to keep it in place!
See if you can find leg warmers too, they make the classic "Cats" look! Someone might be able to knit a pair for you, or else I've seen black and coloured striped warmers onsale.
