Looking for "One Night In Bangkok"I would be grateful for some help in finding a particular version of this song I heard whilst on holiday on a musicals tribute, when I heard it for the first time and loved it. I've since bought the original soundtrack and it's fantastic. The version I heard sounded similar to the Murray Head version, but a little quicker, and bit more modern; maybe slightly more of a modern rap in the fast talking sections. It had more than just a bassline on the chorus with the lyrics "The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free". I can't provide much more info than that really! Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. There seem to be a lot of versions of this song about! Thank you. |

If it leaves out the "Tirolean Spa" portion of the song, it may be the OBC, but my suspicion is that the one you heard is the version on the Danish Cast recording:

I agree the Danish version is alot faster and more modern sounding. |

Chess survives because of B&B's soundtrack.
