Look what I found....
John Partridge is not in costume. He is next to Pouncival. Ken Page is on the second row as is Sir John Mills. Neither of them are in costume. I spotted some other poeple as well (Gillian Lynne, Chrissie Cartwright, David Cullen and Karen Dawson-Harding) BTW, what are the things next to Etcetera, Mistoffelees, Victoria and Jellylorum's feet? Or is it just me? I also found a photo of Michael Gruber and Gillian Lynne, just like the one with Geoff Garratt and Gillian being taken in "the making of" documentary. I will post it later. Misto |

I've just noticed. Can anybody else not find Elaine Paige?
Misto |
||
| Smudge |
Looks like the things at their feet are probably cameras. I wanna see the one of Gruber!
| Misto |
I see. And I just noticed, how weird does it look to see a cat wearing sun glasses (Karl Morgan!) Anyway, here is the one with Gillian and Michael.
Also, here is a great website with some photos taken during a performance of the third UK tour. Misto |

Thanks so much! That's an awesome find.
| Roxanne |
Ahhh..... Very very cool. ^_^ How did you find these?
Seeing Karl Morgan in sunglasses reminds me of a funny picture of him I found a while back, from when he was performing in the new london. I'm not sure where it was from. Google's good for hard-to-find if you're persistant.

Oh wow! That's an amazing find! I have seen that picture before! Much kudos ^_^

There needs to be a caption contest for these... some of these are hilarious....
The Karl Morgan pic: is thinking "Smile, and maybe they won't notice the huge hole in the back of the leotard..." |

| Stargazer |
Those pictures are cool. fun fun
| Jelliclaw |
Hehe. I love them all, especially the first one and the one of RTT and Growltiger at the zoo... -wants to use them on website- |
||
| Drumdraper |
One of the previous tour Mungojerries had taken some candid photos of the cast in costume and they were on his website. One of the pictures had Demeter, I think, in a pushcart laundry basket looking mischievous and another had him wearing Old D's beard.
Anyone know who I'm talking about? |
||
| Cassandra |
Wasn't that Bryce Bermingham? EDIT: Here's the beard picture. He has a lot more photos if anyone wants to look at his website. www.ludio.com
I know I've seen the Demeter-in-a-pushcart pic before. I think it might be on the website of someone from a more recent cast. Can't think of who it is, at the moment. |

| Smudge |
see you guys are nice. when I find pics, I don't like to share them |
||
| Soloque |
That's just because you're selfish and like hoarding things for yourself. |
||
| SadieCass |
You're a fine one to talk, Solo |
||
| Soloque |
I'm a JEWEL. I dont hoard, Im just selfish |
||
| SadieCass |
Oh, you're a gem alright...
| Jemima57 |
The picture with the video cast in very interesting, and I absolutely love that Carbucketty picture |
||
| *asterix* |
It was on the Collin Rand (Tumblebrutus July - November 2002) website. I believe Smudge runs it |

These pics are great!!! Here's a pic I found, of some guy called Karl Morgan. I thought it might be Pounci, except doesn't he have dark hair??? Anyway this guy is HOT, whether he's the Cats Karl Morgan or not! This was on a TV website for some English singing competition, I think...though it was aaages ago now that I got it.
|
||
| Misto |
I love that idea! Anyway, here are some more.
Another one..(I don't know how to show this as an image. Could it be something about .jpg and .bmp??? Anyway, another Karl one..
I don't know who the other man is. The picture was called "simonkarl", so that might help.... I don't know how I find them all. I just find them all on actors websites and stuff. Misto |
||
| abbeycat |
the one of the RTT and growl tiger is from 1993 uk tour, its Darren J Bennett as Tugger (my fave tugger ever!) and Tony Timberlake as Growl (funnily enough also my fave Growl!!!)
oh and simonkarl is Simon Penman, mungo, (i think or it could be Simon Rice, misto, either way i recognise him from 1993 tour ) |

RE: Misto on the telephone...
Misto: *bored voice* That's nice, glad you enjoyed the show, come again, now BUH-BYE! God some people.... (creds to SNL for that...) And is it me, or is Pouncival in a really erm provocative position with Rumpelteazer??? |
||
| Misto |
Loved that QC! And now that you say it, Carb's position does look rather strange - I won't even go there! ! ! !
Misto |
||
| abbeycat |
Oi!!! you leave my poor Carbucketty and rumple alone! lol!(but yes, never noticed that before)
they were my fave cast in London. carb: Sandy Rass, Swing: Carl Parris, Jelly: Carrie Ellis, Misto :either Tom Peyton (sp?) or Fergus Logan, I can never tell the difference in a pic!!Rumple: Vikki Coote (the best Teazer EVER!!!) and Victoria:Sandra Kater (so expressive and also played Etcetera and Jemima) it was 95/96 as the new growltiger siamese cossies are in the background, before then we had the red and blue pyjama style fan siamese with the trampoline dance....aww those were the days..... *sighs* |

Nevermind, Smudge is an idiot. But yes, she did that site for Collin and now doesn't have time. I think he might have someone else doing one for him now
| enkeli-kitten |
Please may I have the link to the website where you found these?? =^-^= |
||
| Misto |
Sure.
Micheal Gruber Library The Unofficial Karl Morgan Site Scott Owen (but has a problem right now!) An msn site A review I have aol you see, so I got to aol image search (the example I have typed in here is "cats musical") and search for something. For example, I found the RTT and Growl at the zoo by typing in Growltiger. The same thing will probabally work if you got to google and search images there! But I found the Michael Gruber, Karl Morgan and Scott Owen ones on their websites. Misto |
||
| Misto |
Speaking of Scott Owen, I just added an interview with him to my website. Here is the link.
Misto Btw, this was my 100th post |

can anyone shed some light as to which this production is? i love Bomb!

||
| Misto |
Possibly Korean???
Misto |
||
| Roxanne |
I'd say it looks like the world tour, which did make a stop in Korea. *nods* I'm nearly 100% sure. Gorgeous pictures, though. ^_^
| abbeycat |
thanks guys, i thought it was somewhere between an US and a Biggie tour purely as the cossies are not what im used to and the cast looked somewhat limited in numbers and im sure its Jo Ann Robinson as the director in one of the pics which figures its somekind of world tour...wasnt sure though! cheers!
| Mungostoffelees |
...Hmm I thought it was part of the Australian production or something (not the original one though!)...I think I'm actually imagaining it so ignore me, I swear thats what I read yonks ago when seeing those pictures though, hmm.
| Roxanne |
I think the world tour had a stop in Australia, too, didn't it? Or at least it auditioned for cast members there. I wish I could remember if it actually played or not.
| enkeli-kitten |
Thanks for those sites Misto!!!! There was definetley an Australian Tour (a few NZers were in it - I saw the Rum Tum Tugger guy in JCSuperstar in Christchurch!!), but I don't know whether the World Tour did Australia. |

This David Hulston fansite is a great website! It has some FANTASTIC backstage pictures of UK tour III including him with other cast members, him in full RTT gear (VERY rare!!!) and even aftershow party pictures! You will need to register first and, although it took me a week to do so (you have to e-mail the administrator) it was well worth the wait!

sorry Misto but this link doesn't seem to work properly.... at least on my computer! It shows something about Yahoo, something about loging in... |
||
| *asterix* |
The "site" Misto last referenced is actually a Yahoo! Group. Yahoo! periodically requires you to log in to access most parts of their site - if you do not already have a Yahoo! account you can sign up for one at yahoo.com.
Since Misto linked to the Photos section of the Yahoo! group, a section that is members-only, Yahoo! will automatically request a login before allowing you to continue to the page. Yahoo might let you view the group's main page (David_J_Hulston), at least, without requesting a login, but it looks like if you want to go any further you will have to apply to the group's moderator for membership. Hope that helps some |

| Etcetera Kitten |
Ahhh nice links thank you! I like how mr Ruolt's page is in French (I'm a native French speaker). It's rare to find the French cast members, because Cats wasn't so popular in France. Notice how Rumpus's cat chest is adorned with a C instead of a R. I guess his name in French must have been something starting with Chat (Cat). Ohhh by the way Misto, where did you get the Skible pic in your avi? It looks awesome, which production is it from?
| Roxanne |
Le Chat Rivari. That's his name on my french recording. The french recording is so very gorgeous. Not only for being in french, but for having beautiful orchestrations and voices. Highly recommended. =) |
||
| Jemima57 |
Ahhh that French recording... without those ridiculous names and those awfully bad lyrics it could be great, really... but when you understand everything, it's a big no no. A friend of mine who helps me with my site burst out into laughing when I told him Tugger's French name was Rocky Tam Tam I really hope if we ever get a new Cats productions in France (who knows Stage Entertainment might bring it one day now that they have a theatre in Paris), they will make a new translation of the show. |
||
| Misto |
It's this image, but I played around with it and got this. Also, if you join that Yahoo group, here is a taster of what you can get!
I am expecting to get slack for saying this, but please, don't use these photos for your own websites or anything. I am simply showing them here for you to see. It's not fair for these people to spend time loading these pictures for others to just use them and claim them! I might sound like a hypocrite (I posted them here!), but would you like it? Misto |
||
| abbeycat |
i think David Hulston is Fab...he was my Fave Purse in StEx ever! he was in Rent as a swing and had to leave early to do the cats tour...so talented,grr! |
||
| Misto |
Yeah, he left the tour to be a swing in the RSC Beauty And The Beast.
Misto |
||
| Belle |
Definitely rather fond of David Hulston - and that pic of him with Victoria reminded me of this -
If you're not a StEx fan, it might help to tell you that the character David Hulston is playing is Wrench, who is actually Female... and usually not *quite* so scary... |
||
| Cassandra |
Oh, but I love his makeup! Could never get used to the pink Pearl wig. I much preferred Dawn Marie Church's blond wig in Las Vegas (along with the slutty, Vegas-y coach costumes). |
||
| Belle |
ewww... I love pinky Pearl, suits her character so well. And DON'T get me started on slut-coaches |
||
| Cassandra |
I think it all depends on which production you saw first and which you're most familiar with. Me, I only saw the Vegas production (15 times, no less), so, not only do I have no other production on which to compare it, the Vegas show also holds a very special place in my heart. |
||
| Belle |
Yes, it does depend very much on what you're used to. Pearl here is Danni Kearsley-Wooller, one of my joint-favourites. She played the role very young and innocent, ditzy. I really disliked the uk tour version, in the Vegas-style costume (and poorly made at that!) who was a slut who wanted as much engine power as she could get... not attractive in a lead role. It's only Pearl and Dinah's slut-costumes I have a problem with, I rather like the design for Buffy with the "bare" midriff, and Ashley's short skirt, it's in keeping with their characters. (but my take on Ashley - http://www.bellesdomain.co.uk/stex/meets/bochum05/open0534.jpg ) But Pearl and Dinah are both young girls, naive in their different ways. Plus it bugs me that the components were not given a sexy makeover, when their characters ARE wild and sexy and out-there.
Anyways. way off-topic... |

Okay, I've reloaded the pics, so they should work now. Here are two more.
