Little women???I was cast as Aunt March in Little Women the play 3 days ago. I know this is musicals.net, but the play is basically the same script, just no songs. But anyways, i was wondering if anyone could give me background information about Aunt March. All I know, is that she is wealthy, a widow, and makes unwarrented comments. ANYTHING will help!!!

Have you read the actual Louise McAlcott book? I believe they go into background there...

Honestly, I dont have enough time to read the book, but Ive watched the movie a few times(winona ryder) version

Well aunt march is very rich widow. She lives alone and has Jo wait on her hand and foot. Even though the 4 girls call her aunt she is really their fauthers aunt. she doesn't like their family's charitable work and loss of wealth.
