Perhaps it got cut or it was just rumoured?
You wouldn't be wasting your money on the film, its surprisingly good. I hate Beyonce and had been hearing awful things about her but I went anyways (mainly because I wanted to hear Jennifer Hudson) and loved every moment of it. I actually think I'm going to see it again within the next few days. The characterizations in the film are much more developed then in the musical and are a lot closer in resemblance to the actual Supremes and those in Motown who they were modelled on.

^^Yeah-it was quite...interesting...
But seeing this movie would not be a waste of money! I went with my friends, not really expecting anything GREAT, but I was wrong. It's an amazing cast, and it's got some really good songs. After the one song Jennifer Hudson sang (I'm not at all familiar with the song titles-so bear with me on this ) I think it's called "I'm Not Going" or something like that the audience actually started clapping. I had nver seen that happen in a movie theatre before, but it was such an amazing and powerful performance. Plus, the song towards the end (the one the Dreamgirls sing in their closing concert- don't know the name) I think I'm going to have to play at the end of every show I'm in when I really really don't want them to end!!!! It's so perfect for it! LOL

John Lithgow was increadibly brilliant... even in the short minute he was on screen. I did a little lady squeal when I saw him pop up. I had no idea he was in the movie.

I saw Dreamgirls at the cinema three times and I must agree that I have never felt electricity in an audience in a moviehouse like there was during and in the moment after that number. It was truly like becoming a part of a collective mind and then separating from it afterwards. It's an immensely compelling piece of film.
