Lippas Wild Party

I have a chance to be in this show and Im wondering if anybody has any info on it. I have heard its a fun show. I have read the synopsis but I would love to know ranges for Mr. Black and Burrs. I have alot of experince with Jazz and love the style. Im right now stuck with choosing between Wild Party and Camelot.

Oh my Goodness!!!! Go for Wild Party!!!!
Burrs is quite range-y. I highly suggest getting the CD. It is by far my favorite musical theater CD I own (although I just bought She Loves Me and it is climbing). I have my piano/vocal selections book here and Burrs hits a G in"What is it about Her?" and is quite often in the d/e/f ranges for other songs, I think. He's all over though, really.
Black- in "Poor Child" he hits an E a few times, and it's his last sustained note in the quartet. in '"I'll be here" the range is pretty much D to D.

Any time Burrs is singing on the CD, I LOVE it. I can't remember his name right now but he is so versatile. Besides having an amazing voice, it is so emotional and colorful. It is an awesome character. I've never seen the show, but you pretty well get it from listening to the CD. Burrs is a little... manic. Very happy and high strung one moment and depressed or violent the next. and at the end he pretty much loses it.
Black is more even keel.(sp?) He only sort of lets loose during "Come with Me" when he and Queenie are about to get it on.
Although the music is very jazzy (I would desribe it to anyone as Chicago meets Rent) most of the guys singing is not particilarly "Jazz" in style. More just regular musical theater. Really, get the CD, you definitely won't regret at least having it to listen to.
Update here if you audition and what happens!

It is quite an interesting Situaution really. the Director is Basically only casting eopl he has worked with before since he has has some bad experiences in the past. But I have an in witht he director because of a Mutual friend who will vouch for me. I'll most likely end up with Eddie "The Boxer" But he also wants to try me out as Black and Burrs. Black fits my range Perfectly from what you describe. Burrs would be a little HIgh when he hits that G. PLus hanging around D,E,F alot would be very challenging but are all notes in my range.
