Lily or Martha? (Audition)Hi! I have an audition for "The Secret Garden" in late November. I am unsure of which role to go for, Lily or Martha. I am going to be sixteen right after the time of the audition, but age isn't usually a problem for me (I recently played Fastrada in "Pippin" with the same company).
Let's see, I'm a soprano (but I can belt.) Range: E below middle C to POTO E or the F above. I'm 5'6" and of an average build. Brown hair, hazel eyes, light olive complexion (that's me in my avatar...)

If I were you I would go for Lily! I love her role! She has beautiful songs, and is really such a beautiful character. Go for her, and keep us posted!

Lily or Martha?If playing for a bit of age works for you, I would go for Lily. But that would largely depend on the kind of production - school, community theatre etc.

It's community theatre, but I don't know that age will be an issue considering they cast me as Fastrada (a usually 30-ish character) at the ripe old age of fifteen.
I don't know what you mean by playing for a bit of age, but that's probably because I usually don't get things on the first try.
