sounds good. I recently familiarized myself with this show, when preparing for an audition for it. I was pleasantly surprised by a great score with an unconventional storyline.
I am currently in rehearsals for "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and the director is doing some exciting things with it. It is not going to be at all like the Broadway version. It will be set in the present time and Aurora is based more on the movie stars in Latin America in the last few decades than on the actresses from the Golden of Age of film.

Our Aurora is Latin as am I and the other female dancer. Some of the prisoners are. I think mainly though, our director clearly wanted to base our Aurora after Latin American stars such as Selma Hayek and Penelope Cruz, as opposed to actresses from the Golden Age of Film as it was originally done.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about Cruz myself...I think it's just the style he's going for, not so much the persona. Our Aurora looks nothing like her nor does she speak with such a pronounced accent.
Actually no, our Molina is not, but I suppose he has enough dark features to make it convincing. Our Valentin isn't either, but he mimics a very convincing dialect.

Sorry, misunderstood that. Yes, Molina is being played with Latin descent.
