I am so excited! The rights to "Spelling Bee" are coming out too.

It's like....dream role for me to play Olive.

Any idea as to when exactly the rights will come out? Hopefully soon.

Today it is Legally Blonde, yesterday it was High School M*****L and tomorrow it'll be Barbie's Day On Broadway...

Our beloved artform is going to the dogs.

Oh god. My school will probably do that next. Gag me.
Monsieur D'Arque

Jeez. Am I the ONLY person who still writes musicals in a cool-jazz style?

(Well, not entirely, but it's one of the three musical genres that "compete" in my show.)
Fosse Queen

hmm... well that was quick.
sopranodespair

Why are the rights to this out before the rights to Wicked?
AllThatJazzHands

It doesn't seem to be out quite yet...

"LEGALLY BLONDE: The Musical is not currently available to license. To be the first to know when this title is available...."
kozafluitmusique

Why do you care so much about a show being licensed?

I thought they are licensed when commercial interest is severely reduced; that does not appear to be happening for Wicked yet!

It's Legally Blonde!

It's like "WHY?" I just think there are better shows out there that should be licensed.
mezzo_soprano

I think there are better shows but it does look like it would be ALOT of fun to be in.

Of course there are better shows to be in. A show is licensed so that more people can perform/see it. They don't pick the best of the best to license.

Actually if you go to www.playbill.com and look at the weekly Broadway grosses, Legally Blonde is very near the bottem if not dead last in the attendance ratings. I think that's the reason for the MTV show...to get more people to come see the new star, otherwise it's gonna close.

Actually, after looking, last week it was at 86%...the week before was 76% and the week before was 69%...maybe the TV show is helping already...
Luc
