Laura Bell Bundy's last day in Legally Blonde

According to her website (and facebook), her last performance in Legally Blonde is July 20th, and then, presumably, the reality show winner will take over.

I'm going to NY in June to see it before Laura leaves, so I'm excited for that, but still sad she'll be gone. But I'm sure she has great things planned for the next year.

Random Sidenote: Becky Gulsvig is touring with the show, meaning I'm most definitely driving down to St. Louis when it comes there (of course it can't come to Chicago...)

Crying or Very sad
It will be hard to find someone who can match her charisma, imo.

hmm yes i agree. I actually liked her a lot.
I haven't been paying attention to the whole reality show thing but it sounds like a disaster
wicked_boy

Has the reality show even started?

It's on MTV right? It hasn't been that hyped up as to when they actually filmed the show for MTV, or has hyped up as any of the other "let's cast a lead on TV" shows.

What about it makes you think it will be a disaster?
They're auditions with cameras in the room. It's only the top 10 or so that get cut according to America's votes. If the top 10 can't do it, "they" will call in professionals to audition. If someone bad gets cast, the producers can pull her out in a second. For example, Joel Grey wasn't cast in Wicked until a couple nights before opening. It was some other guy, but they yanked him and put Grey in. They have that kind of power. I don't know why everyone is so uptight about these reality shows. The producers have cast the show once- chances are, they can cast one character again even if there are cameras in the room. They know what they're doing, and if they don't find a talented woman to play the lead in their money-maker, they will NOT let her stay for long, if they let her stay at all.

I think it starts on June 2nd, but don't quote me on it. Sometime in early June.

And yes, it's on MTV.

What makes Haylie Duff an expert?
Luc

I think that's just a preview, Marcus.

I'm really confused.

Is the show like "I'd Do Anything / You're the One that I Want"? As in, the public decide?

Or is it just an audition with cameras?

The public will decide the top 10 or so, I'm assuming.

Can someone in the US keep me up to date with the stuff happening on the TV show?
~GertrudeMcFuzz~

I guess Jerry Mitchell is deciding the winner, which puts me at ease. I hate when the audiences choose and it becomes a popularity contest over a talent contest.

And I'd be glad to keep you updated, wicked_boy! I'm sure when it airs, though, things will be up on youtube like crazy.

I absolutely adore Laura Bell Bundy. It will definitely be hard to replace her in this role.

I also heard about Becky Gulsvig being Elle Woods in the upcoming tour a couple of days ago. Congrats to her!
shakalakababy

Oooh yay! I love Becky!

Okay so i'm a closeted Legally Blonde fan, i admit it Embarassed

Apparently Kate Rockwell is the new Margot/Elle Woods understudy!

Anyone remember from Grease: You're The One That I Want ?

No..I don't think America chooses the winner. They just get to see what goes on behind the scenes. Which is good. It's on MTV starting June 2nd. It'll be on every Monday at 10:00 PM EST.
highkick49

No America has no say in it what-so-ever, actually the winner has already been choosen and is currently in rehersals so she can take over as soon as the show is over.

One of our musical theatres at my college is actually going to be in the show and gets to the top 10 and all that other fun stuff, so I've been hearing a lot of stuff from her, but supposedly it's going to be pretty interesting.

She said it was a real mesh of Real World (they are all living together), Top Model (bunch of gorgeous girls) and You're The One That I want (Broadway competition) - she said it got really competitive and pretty dramatic; so I'm real curious.
shakalakababy

i'm actually kind of really excited for this show now...
