Lady Merril

Hey all,
I just got cast as Lady Merril. We dont' have scripts as of yet, b/c we don't start rehersals for another week or so. Can anyone tell me what this role entails? Is she funny? ANY insight or info would be appreciated.

Is this role just an ensemble role? I have NO idea.

She's one of the three Ladies in Wating. Has lines here and there, usually cute and kind of funny. The script says that she gets to sing in the Swamps of Home, but in my production ALL of the girls sang in the song instead of just the three ladies in waiting.

I seem to remember there are 3 ladies in waiting (another named Beatrice dances in the show), Rowena, Merril and someone else. They often have lines together. In our production, they usually played off each other, like they all turned one after the other, and things like that.
