Ok, please refrain from actual death but.....

I have been refusing to watch High School Musical, for obvious reasons. Well, my sister came and visited me this weekend and made me watch it wiht her! She insisted that I watch it and assured me that as horrible as it was that I would enjoy myself. So I watched it....but that's not the scary part.....the scary part is....

I actually liked some of it!!!! AAAAHHH!

Now, understand this, I grew up on the Disney Channel, so I completely understand the cheeziness factor. And most of the music was just silly and bad...but there were like 2 songs that I did like. And (kill me again) I actually went back with the sing-along words to watch a couple of the songs!

If you haven't seen it, don't knock me....if you have seen it, you have to admit that a couple of the songs are a little catchy. And some of the things they did just cracked me up! It really reminded me of some people I knew back in high school!

Last year I helped my friends mom, who was the computer teacher at my school, deal with the first graders. She played the High School Musical CD all during the class, and it is kind of funny to watch the little kids attempting to go, "Bop! Bop! Bop! Bop till you drop!"

It's going to premiere on the UK Disney Channel this Friday. I'm so excited. No, honest. No, really!

I've gotta see it, have to see if it's as bad as it sounds. Daughter has mentioned she'd like to see it as well cos Disney Channel have been hyping it for well over a month now.

I'll admit, I scorn High School Musical without ever having seen it. I've been avoiding it on principle, but honestly, if the opportunity came up, I would watch it. I'm very curious.
I don't look down on you for liking some of it, I'm just bothered by the people who think it's the most amazing thing since sliced bread. Or obsess over it like it's some stroke of musical theatre genius. Mainly ten-year-olds. Okay now I'm rambling.

What I find fascinating is that it's being done on stage all over the US. I mean not only can you rent it for 99 cents at the video store you can see it for free on television. But it does good buisness. Why? Because it's full of kids who's family have to to come see it.

i still havent seen it and im sure i dont plan to but i probably have to. im auditioning for high school musical at disneyland. theyre gonna have a high school musical parade at california adventure.

I really hate HSM but the songs are catchy so i will be sitting in class and realize im humming the songs ITS SOOOO ANNOYING!!!

Yeah, i feel your pain. I watched it with some friends and even though we made lots and lots of jokes about the acting, the singing and just other random things, some of the music is actually pretty cool.
