my community theatre just announced that next winter we are doing BIG for our musical. i have seen the movie, but i want to know more about the musical. which one was made first? cuz i remember really liking the musical. next question: who do you think i should be? i am a thirteen year old boy, five feet, shaggy blonde hair and i can sing from a g (the one just below middle c) to about a b (the one after middle c). (sorry, i dont know all of those technical terms ) i dont normally get very big parts with this company, but i'm not so nervous at auditions anymore because it'll be my fourth show with them. so i know the plot and all, but any other information about the musical that i couldnt get from watching the movie would be greatly appreciated!!! thank you so much!!
PS: when you tell me who i could play, please put their name and what they do in the story because i cant remember ANY of anyone's names)

Hey dude,
Good to see a youngen (and a straight one like myself!) getting into theatre (im a 17 yr old male)

Anywho, I did this show about a year and a half ago, as my 1st show ever and it was a blast. My one tip, go for Billy...Young Josh os the lead...but Billy gets heaps more stage time cause when young Josh grows up, the kid playing young josh obviosly cant play Big Josh...
