Just Brought the LibrettoJust brought the libretto from Amazon of Into the Woods.
I'm completely knew to this show.
Anythnig I should know before I read it?

Not really.
Besides that if you read it, you will hopefully be able to see that Into the Woods is real theatre, unlike.... *cough* other shows you are fond of.

You're KNEW to this show? So you KNOW a lot about it. So what do we have to tell you. 
I would REALLY reccomend getting a copy of the Original Broadway Cast audio or video recording... so you can get an idea of the music.

Congratulations!  You are discovering the joy and wonderfulness of Sondheim with one of his best-loved shows. It is also advised to rent the OBC dvd and watch it a zillion times. Appeciate, love and adore this show. It is worth it.

Hopefully this will make me like other musicals as opossed (sp?) to Wicked.
They have a video recording? I must check that out.

Why not check your LIBRARY for all of these things. You can get libretto's and audio and video recordings FOR FREE from there, instead of for a COST on amazon.

Believe, the library's in my area are a load of sh*t. Most theatrical resources they have is Shakespeare plays.

Hear Hear! The day I found The Crucible in my library was an amazing one. But Shakespeare is no problem...

The DVD is supergreat, as is the OBC recording (but it makes more sense after having read the libretto, with is awesome).

In terms of libraries, just ask them to order it! It doesn't cost you anything...

^ Seriously, the libraries near me are about one room big. Useless. I went in there one night for some research from books about America, rubbish.
Plus, it's so much easier just to put it in one big order on amazon, it's time I spoiled myself.

No sarcasm. I'm simply saying my library also suffers from the lack of non-shakespeare plays. Yes Shakespeare rocks but I would like to read more than that!

Ask them to order books and DVD's!! It doesn't matter how big it is - it's still a library, after all!
