Was the Cinderella DVD starring Julie Andrews filmed live in front of an audience (like ITW, Sunday in the Park, etc.), or was it made just for TV in a studio? I don't know if I want it for Christmas or not...

It was filmed in a studio... it was written especially for a television performance and was adapted to the stage later.

The Julie Andrews version is the best IMO. It is much closer to the present stage version than either of the two filmed versions that came later. (Leslie Ann Warren and Brandy)

It's true. The Julie Andrews version is far superior to the Leslie Ann Warren and FARTHER than far superior to the Brandy version. It's simple, short, and rather quite funny.
